Photo Friday on Saturday: Fall color

Blogging here has been pretty sparse the last couple of months, mostly because I've been on the road (and maybe because I haven't felt much like reviewing books). But I'm home at last, for the moment, and ready to share a few random fall color photos from my trip to Maine. There's no story with these--just photos. About half are from various parts of Maine, and the other half from New Hampshire.

Through my travels, I made a point of working at least a little bit on my novel every night. I missed a few when I was traveling with a friend, but most places I managed at least a paragraph or two!

Yes, you CAN write with gloves on!

  1. Hi Rebecca - gorgeous photos ... so interesting to see America's east coast's landscape - even a microcosm of it. Wonderful you're able to write with gloves on and by torchlight ... congratulations on nearly keeping up with the novel - take care and all the best - Hilary

    1. Maybe because I have lived pretty much all my life where there isn't much fall color, I can't get enough of it!

Writing by headlamp in the cold is... maybe a little obsessive?

  2. The reflections off the water are wonderful pictures. The colors of the trees in the Northeast at this time of year are always amazing to me, and I lived there for 4 Falls.

    1. Thanks! This is my third fall in a row traveling to Maine, and I'm not tired of the colors yet, though this year they weren't as good. Maybe that was me.

  3. Thank you for the glimpse of fall colors! Don't get much of that where I am in FL. :)

  4. The pictures are beautiful. We had lovely colors here in Michigan, but I never get a good chance to get nice pictures.

    1. It does take some effort to put yourself in the right place, though the Maine photos are almost all from places I saw on walks from my friends' home!
