Gone Fishin'

Well, actually, no. The Ninja Librarian doesn't fish. But I have been helping Mom move, and didn't get a post ready for today. So have a few flowers, instead.

Some alpine flowers from the Sierra Nevada:
Columbine

Indian Paintbrush

A type of sunflower (DYC)

Leopard Lily or similar
And from one of our coastal communities, a bunch of naked ladies in a cemetary:

  1. They are wonderful, the pink ones make the cemetery worth visiting

    1. Naked Ladies are a fascinating flower. They grow their leaves in the spring--then die completely back, and the flower stalks pop up in August out of apparently bare earth. I never saw them before moving to California, so guess they don't grow in northern climates.
